More About Us
Mike is really about helping injured victims and their families. Mike began his career at a defense firm working on behalf of insurance companies defending their insureds from personal injury claimants. After a relatively short period of time, Mike realized his passion for medicine and his preference to help the injured victim. After five years of working on the defense side, Mike took his knowledge and skills and flipped it – he began working on behalf of injured victims. Immediately Mike knew this was far more rewarding for him.
He soon hired Eileen Day, who has been his paralegal for over 20 years. The two of them pride themselves on getting to know their clients and pushing to get what is fair for them. This well-oiled machine knows how to run.
Mike is honest and never “sugarcoats” any situation. He believes his clients deserve to know the truth about their case. He prides himself on giving the best advice, counseling clients about whether to resolve their claim at the pre-litigation stage of the case, after filing a lawsuit, or whether taking the case to arbitration or trial. All clients are different and have different wants and needs. He considers all of the variables when dealing with his clients.
For the past several years, Mike and Eileen have focused on serious, catastrophic injury cases. While Mike does not advertise and works only on word-of-mouth referrals, he will advise anyone referred to him. He does try to keep his volume relatively low so they have the time to provide all that is needed to victims and families of victims seriously injured.
Eileen has worked with Mike since 1998 and their partnership, mutual respect, and advocacy is undeniable. Eileen and Mike serve their clients professionally, with the utmost care and personal connection. Eileen’s work is impeccable and she is highly regarded in the legal community. She strives to ensure the best possible outcome through hard work, determination, and creating a personal connection with clients. Eileen began her career as a paralegal in 1985, giving her a wealth of experience and knowledge that serves the MDR clients well.
